The amendment replaces a four-year phased redistribution plan with immediate, permanent percentages: twenty-five percent to the general fund, three and three-tenths percent to municipalities, seven-tenths percent to school districts, and seventy-one percent to Deadwood.
The amendment removes the requirement that Deadwood receive a minimum of six million eight hundred thousand dollars annually and restructures the distribution percentages among the state general fund, Lawrence County municipalities, school districts, and Deadwood.
