Effective July 21, 2026
By accessing or using Pierre Review ("the Service"), operated by Noah Brown ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Pierre Review provides legislative tracking, analytics, and related data for the South Dakota Legislature. Core legislative data is available free of charge. Certain features require signing in with an email address, and advanced features — including organization workspaces, watchlists, alerts, and reporting — are offered under paid subscription plans.
Certain features require you to create an account by signing in via a magic link sent to your email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Paid subscription plans are billed at the prices and on the terms agreed at the time of purchase or as set out in a separate subscription agreement. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly agreed in writing. We may change subscription pricing with advance notice; changes take effect at the start of the next billing period. Organizations with a separately signed subscription agreement are governed by that agreement where it conflicts with these Terms.
You agree not to:
Legislative data is sourced from the South Dakota Legislature's public API. AI-generated summaries and vote forecasts are estimates and may contain errors. The Service is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as legal or political advice. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee it.
The Service's design, code, analytics methodology, and original content are owned by us. Legislative data sourced from public records remains in the public domain. You may share links to the Service freely. You may not reproduce substantial portions of the Service's original content without permission.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will be accurate or complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100).
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use sign-in-gated features ceases immediately.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in South Dakota.
