05:01:03:07Fleet and Travel Management approval required

for certain mileage reimbursement -- Exception. Fleet and Travel Management approval is required for mileage reimbursement at the high rate under § 5:01:02:01 if an employee's post of duty is a designated city area and Fleet and Travel Management or Department of Transportation pool vehicles are available. Travel by elected officers, departmental secretaries and chairs of state boards and commissions is exempt from the requirements of this section.
