information management system -- Names of debtors that are organizations. The name of an organization as a debtor or a secured party on a UCC record shall be completed as follows: (1) Single field. The name of each organization is stored in a file that includes only the names of the organization and not the names of any individual. A single field is used to store an organization name; and (2) Truncation of organization names. The organization name field in the UCC database is fixed in length. The maximum length is 256 characters. Although filers shall continue to provide a full name on the UCC record, a name that exceeds the fixed length is entered as presented to the filing officer, up to the maximum length of the data entry field.
