An inspector may collect the mileage fee set by SDCL 3-9-1 for each mile traveled to perform livestock ownership inspection. The mileage shall be based on the most accessible route to and from the inspector's duty station and the inspection site. The inspector shall prorate the mileage fee equally among multiple livestock owners at one common inspection site.
