No person may bring a ram six months old or older into this state for purposes other than immediate slaughter unless the ram has been blood tested for brucella ovis not more than 30 days prior to the date of importation and the test result is negative. If rams are from a brucella ovis-free flock, certified by the state of origin, which has requirements equal to those in this chapter, they may be imported without a test.
