Additions to certified brucellosis-free herds must meet one of the following requirements: (1) Originate from certified brucellosis-free herds; (2) Originate from a negative herd tested within the previous year and be individually tested at least 60 days after the herd test and within the 30 days prior to being added to the herd; or (3) Be held in isolation until the goat tests negative twice, the first test given within the 30 days after the goat is brought to the premises and the retest given no sooner than 30 days following the first test.
