The rural site development program stimulates the development of new affordable housing subdivisions within rural communities in South Dakota which demonstrate a need for such development. The authority requires local lender involvement in all loans or other authority financing provided for any project under this program. Development locations must be located outside of cities whose population exceeds 50,000.
