Rulemaking activity

If there is a dispute between a customer and a utility regarding any bill, charge, or service, the utility may require the customer to pay the undisputed portion of the bill to avoid disconnection of service for nonpayment. The utility shall investigate as required by the particular case and report the results to the customer and to the commission, if involved. If the dispute is not resolved, the utility shall notify the customer that the customer has the right to appeal to the commission for resolution of the dispute within 10 working days after a disconnection notice is sent.
