20:10:29:24Assignment of central office equipment category

1 -- Operator systems equipment. Central office equipment category 1, operator systems equipment, is apportioned among the interexchange category, special access category, and the switched access elements as follows: (1) Category 1 that is used for intercept services is assigned to the local switching element; (2) Category 1 that is used for directory assistance is assigned to the information category; (3) Category 1 other than service observation boards that is not used for intercept services is assigned to the interexchange category; (4) Service observation boards are apportioned among the interexchange and information categories and the transport and local switching access elements based on the remaining combined investment in central office equipment category 1, category 2, and category 3.
