If communication between the cashless wagering system and the cashless device is lost, a message must be displayed to the player that cashless transactions cannot currently be processed. A cashless device that holds information relating to cashless transactions in its memory may not allow the removal or alteration of its information until that information has been successfully transferred and acknowledged by the system.
