in licensed nursing facility or assisted living center. A nursing facility or assisted living center licensed by the South Dakota Department of Health does not need a salon license under the following conditions: (1) A staff member or volunteer of the facility washes, sets, or trims the hair of any resident; or (2) A cosmetologist provides cosmetology services only to residents of the facility.
