A dentist licensed in this state may not administer general anesthesia and deep sedation, moderate sedation, or nitrous oxide sedation and analgesia unless the dentist has obtained the permit required in § 20:43:09:03, 20:43:09:04, or 20:43:09:05. Any dentist who advertises sedation using terms other than minimal sedation or nitrous oxide sedation and analgesic must have a general anesthesia and deep sedation, moderate sedation, or host permit.
