20:48:03:18Emergency suspension of license, temporary permit, or privilege to practice.

The executive director may issue an order of emergency suspension to an individual who holds a board-issued nursing license, temporary permit, or privilege to practice if the continued practice by the individual constitutes an imminent threat to the public's welfare. The order of emergency suspension: (1) Takes effect upon written notice to the individual; and (2) Remains in effect until retracted, modified, or superseded by a final action by the board or upon agreement between the board and the individual.
