Except in the event of the death of the pharmacist owner, a pharmacy license is void if the pharmacist owner ceases to be in active management of the pharmacy. If a pharmacist owner dies, the pharmacy may not be kept open for business without a pharmacist on duty and in charge. A pharmacy license in the name of a deceased pharmacist becomes void unless transfer of the license has been made within the one hundred twenty-day period to a pharmacist owner.
