Rulemaking activity

Except as otherwise provided by chapters 20:51:21 and 20:51:35, pharmacists and pharmacies may not accept from patients or their agents, for reuse, reissue, or resale, any unused drugs, prescribed medications, sickroom supplies, or hygienic surgical appliances or garments. In a hospital with a licensed pharmacy, unused drugs, sickroom supplies, hygienic surgical appliances or garments, and other items dispensed for hospital inpatients may be returned to the pharmacy, for credit and disposition by a pharmacist, if the integrity of the products and packages is maintained.
