A pharmacy having an electronic prescription software platform does not need to record information on the original prescription if the platform has the capacity to store all of the information required in §§ 20:51:23:02 to 20:51:23:04, inclusive, and has a mechanism to prohibit the transfer or refilling of prescription drug orders for controlled substances that have been previously transferred.
