The initial license fee and annual license renewal fee for each license is as follows: (1) For an apprentice license, twenty dollars for the first year, thirty dollars for the second year, forty dollars for the third year, and fifty dollars for four or more years; (2) For a plumber or installer license, one hundred five dollars; (3) For an appliance contractor, manufactured and mobile home contractor, underground irrigation contractor, or water conditioning contractor license, two hundred dollars; (4) For a sewer and water contractor license, two hundred thirty-five dollars; and (5) For a plumbing contractor license, two hundred seventy-five dollars. A license is not transferable. A license renewal application, along with the appropriate renewal fee, must be submitted to the commission for all licenses issued pursuant to SDCL chapter 36-25. Any licensee continuing to perform or offering to perform services licensed under SDCL chapter 36-25, sixty days or more after license expiration is subject to disciplinary proceedings. A temporary license may be issued only and expires three months from the date of issuance or when the license holder passes the examination required by SCL 36-25 and article 20-53, which occurs first. A temporary license fee is fifty dollars. A license duplicate fee or replacement fee is ten dollars. License and renewal license fees must be submitted to the commission prior to the issuance of the license. All fees are non-refundable.
