An individual who is applying for certification as a peer support specialist, who is recognized as a trainee or supervisee, or who is certified as a peer support specialist by the board shall comply with the ethical standards set forth in Principle X of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors/National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialists Code of Ethics.
