activities. The department shall ensure that the provisions of this chapter are implemented by each district. If the department finds evidence that a district makes placements that are inconsistent with the requirements for the least restrictive environment in Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Act, the department shall review the district's justification for its actions and shall assist in planning and implementing any necessary corrective action.
