24:14:14:16.02Meeting to encourage mediation.

The department may establish procedures to offer to parents and a public agency or nonpublic service provider who elect not to use the mediation process the opportunity to meet, at a time and location convenient to the parents, with a disinterested party: (1) Who is under contract with a parent training and information center or community parent resource center in the state, or an appropriate alternative dispute resolution entity; and (2) Who would explain the benefits of the mediation process and encourage the parents to use the process.
