The student teacher permit is issued to an individual who is under the direct supervision of an assigned cooperating teacher. The student teacher permit is limited to an individual who has: (1) Met the requirements of the regionally accredited institution of higher education offering the educator preparation program where the individual is enrolled; (2) Obtained sign-off from the institution; and (3) Submitted an official transcript that indicates the individual will likely satisfactorily complete the educational coursework by the start date of the student teaching experience.
