The alternative teaching certificate is valid for one year and may be renewed two times. The applicant for a renewed TFA alternative teaching certificate shall submit: (1) Verification of continued eligibility for the Teach For America program; and (2) A recommendation for renewal from the school district or department-accredited school where the applicant is employed based on documented performance and progress.
