An applicant who has completed a K-12 preparation program may request a career and technical education (CTE) endorsement, if the applicant has: (1) Completed a two-credit CTE methods course; (2) Passed the state-designated pedagogy test; and (3) One of the following requirements for requested endorsement: (a) An associate of applied science degree or higher; (b) Four thousand hours of validated work experience earned within the previous five calendar years; (c) Holds a national certification or state license; (d) Passes the state-designated content test; or (e) Completes state-designated coursework. The endorsements are issued for each CTE career cluster and pathway. An applicant who has received all CTE career pathway endorsements for a given CTE career cluster may request to add the CTE career cluster endorsement.
