defined. A "specialized nonpublic education program" is designed to serve a small segment of students in certain specified circumstances. The program is not designed to provide general education for a broad range of students. Examples of specialized nonpublic education programs include, but are not limited to, programs in correctional facilities and residential facilities, programs that serve school-age students during a short transition, and programs that are designed to meet identified special needs of school-age children that it has accepted for enrollment.
