specialized nonpublic educational programs. The secretary of education may approve nonpublic schools or specialized nonpublic educational programs that voluntarily seek state approval rather than state accreditation. The approval status of nonpublic schools or specialized nonpublic educational programs shall be available to the public in department publications and on the department's website.
