The required courses and experiences of a 5-12 mathematics education program shall meet the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) standards, 2012 edition. The program shall require candidates to demonstrate the content, pedagogical, and professional knowledge and skills identified in the NCTM standards and to demonstrate competency on the multiple assessment measures of chapters 24:53:04, 24:53:05, and 24:53:06.
