education program. The required courses and experiences of a 5-12 family and consumer sciences education program shall meet the National Association of Teacher Educators for Family and Consumer Sciences (NATEFACS) standards, 2010 edition. The program shall require candidates to demonstrate the content, pedagogical, and professional knowledge and skills identified in the NATEFACS standards and to demonstrate competency on the multiple assessment measures of chapters 24:53:04, 24:53:05, and 24:53:06.
