Notwithstanding any other provision in this article, the department may not rank public schools for the 2016-2017 school year. For the 2016-2017 school year, the department shall retain the classification assigned to each school pursuant to this chapter for the 2014-2015 school year, except that the department shall remove the priority or focus school classification if the school meets the criteria established in 24:55:04:06 and 24:55:04:08.
