Except as otherwise provided in this section, a person may not occupy a designated campsite, after 4:00 p.m., in the state park system, on the day that a camping permit expires. In Custer State Park, a person may not occupy a designated campsite, after 12:00 p.m., on the day that a camping permit expires, unless permission is obtained from an authorized representative of the department. A person may not occupy a camping cabin, a suite, a lodge, or a modern cabin, after 11:00 a.m., on the day that a lodging permit expires, unless permission is obtained from an authorized representative of the department.
