The general muzzleloader deer hunting season is closed and licenses are not valid in the following areas: (1) Sand Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Brown County; (2) Lacreek National Wildlife Refuge in Bennett County; (3) Lake Andes National Wildlife Refuge in Charles Mix County; (4) Waubay National Wildlife Refuge and Waubay Game Bird Refuge in Day County; (5) Farm Island State Recreation Area and LaFramboise Island Nature Area in Hughes County; and (6) Fort Meade Bureau of Land Management South unit and the signed portion of the North unit in Meade County.
