Each person who has a radiation source, a radiation device, or a radioactive material facility shall apply for licensure with the department within thirty days after the installation of the equipment or purchase of material. The person must obtain a license before the equipment is operated. The application for licensure must be completed using the department's licensing program. An applicant must submit a copy of the applicant's current United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission license with the application if applying for a radioactive material license.
