Each abortion facility shall have an organized nursing service under the direction of a registered nurse. At least one registered nurse shall be on duty in the abortion facility at all times when an abortion procedure patient is in the facility. Written policies and procedures consistent with the standards of nursing practices shall be developed for the direction and guidance of nursing personnel. All licensed practical nurses and other nursing personnel involved in patient care shall be under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
