Within its resources, the open mess may provide recreational, morale, and incidental income-producing facilities, equipment, and services for the conduct of activities for its members as considered necessary and proper by the board and approved by the AAGAR. Activities authorized to the open mess include: (1) Messing; (2) Incidental income-producing activities carried on in conjunction with recreational and morale functions. These activities include, but are not limited to, dances and bazaars; (3) Sale of merchandise, limited to alcoholic beverages by the drink, tobacco products, soft drinks, confections, and incidental food.
