psychological requirements. A law enforcement appointing authority may establish standards for appointment relating to: (1) Depth perception; (2) Color perception; (3) Hearing; (4) Chronic disease or organic or functional defect, as determined by a medical examination, that would impair performance of the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation; and (5) Psychological testing. The applicant shall pay for any examination required to determine if the applicant meets any such standards.
