to be included in earned income. For purposes of including earned income in calculations under SDCL 3-12C-810, a disabled member's earned income includes the member's wages, salaries, tips, or other compensation received by performing personal services for an employer, and includes the net earnings from self-employment in a business that the member owns. Earned income does not include payments from disability insurance coverage obtained by either the member or the member's employer.
