The period of ineligibility for an assistance unit which transferred, assigned, or sold property for the purpose of establishing or maintaining eligibility is up to one year from the date the department discovers the transfer. The period of ineligibility is based on the amount by which the transferred, assigned, or sold resource, when added to other countable resources, exceeds the allowable resource limit. The following chart is used to calculate the period of ineligibility: AMOUNT BY WHICH RESOURCE LIMIT IS EXCEEDED MONTH(S) OF INELIGIBILITY $ 0 up to $ 250.00 1 250 up to 1,000.00 3 1,000 up to 3,000.00 6 3,000 up to 5,000.00 9 5,000 or more 12
