of initial month's benefits. Supplemental nutrition assistance benefits for the initial month of application are prorated based on the date of application. The benefit level is computed as follows: subtract the date of application from 31 and multiply by the full month's benefit; then divide the total by 30. Households applying on the thirty-first of the month are considered as having applied on the thirtieth.
