67:54:05:02Eligibility for medical assistance.

An individual with a mental disease is eligible for medical assistance if the following criteria are met: (1) The individual is eligible for Medicaid under article 67:46; (2) The service is a covered Medicaid service under article 67:16; (3) The utilization control team has determined that the individual has a severe mental illness and requires care in a nursing facility for individuals with a mental disease; (4) The annual redetermination of the need for continued care, if applicable, is current; and (5) The facility meets the individual's needs.
