development of wells. Wells shall be thoroughly developed by surging, jetting, or any other method which will remove drilling mud or any other aquifer material which will pass through the screen openings or casing perforations. The well shall be developed by the driller until the water is clear and reasonably free of silt, mud, and sand. Completion of public water supply wells and wells for household domestic use shall include disinfection pursuant to AWWA Standard A100-90, "AWWA Standard for Water Wells," January 29, 1990, after installation of the pump.
