filtration and disinfection -- Composite correction program requirements. A water system that is in violation of 40 C.F.R. § 141.175(b)(3) (July 1, 2018) shall perform the comprehensive performance evaluation (CPE) component of a composite correction program (CCP) as defined in 40 C.F.R. § 141.2 (July 1, 2018). The department may require a water system to perform a CCP or one of its components if significant deficiencies are identified in a sanitary survey report or other situations that pose a hazard to public health. A water system required to perform a CCP shall implement the follow-up recommendations specified in the CPE report. The department may approve third-parties for use by public water systems that are required to perform CCP activities.
