polling places, and officials. The election precincts and polling places for purposes of the initial election of water development district directors are those established, designated, and appointed by the board of county commissioners or by county auditors for purposes of the general election. The county auditors may appoint from one to five separate water development district precinct election officials from the master list of voters registered in the precinct whenever the county auditors determine the appointments to be necessary.
