Except as provided in § 35-5-3.2, no No manufacturer or wholesaler licensee4 under this title nor any officer, director, stockholder, agent, or employee thereof or any relative5 of the licensee, officer, director, stockholder, agent, or employee may be in any way financially6 interested, either directly or indirectly, or participate in the operation of the business of any7 retailer licensee other than by reason of sales to the licensee. A retailer who is a party to any8 action prohibited by this section is guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor.
