HB1042 removes the requirement that law enforcement officers obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) when operating police vehicles for official duties. Currently, officers must get a CDL like other commercial drivers; this bill allows them to drive police vehicles without that license requirement.
This bill does not directly amend codified state law.
