Fees only used for operating driver licensing program. Except for the portion of the fee used to administer the Division of Highway Patrol pursuant to § 32-12-16 and the portion of the fees deposited in the local transportation programs fund pursuant to § 32-12-126, all other fees collected pursuant to chapters 32- 12 and 32-12A and credited to the state motor vehicle fund shall remain in the fund for the next fiscal year. These fees may only be used for purposes of operating the driver licensing program. 12

Fee for original or renewal license--Fee for duplicate or changed license--Disposition of fee. The application fee for an original driver license or a renewal of a driver license is twenty-eight thirty dollars. The fee for a duplicate license, a name change, or an address change is fifteen seventeen dollars. The fee shall be credited to the state motor vehicle fund or the local transportation programs fund as provided by § 32-12-126. Five dollars of every fee for an original or renewal license collected pursuant to this section shall be used to administer the Division of Highway Patrol.
