Section 32-3-59 — AMENDED
Auction of certain older automobiles--Violation as misdemeanor. Automobiles twenty years of age or older may be sold at auction, if the auction is sponsored by a nonprofit automobile club subject to the provisions of chapters 47-22 to 47-28, inclusive. A nonprofit automobile club may not sponsor more than one such auction a year. An auction agency may accept for sale any motor vehicle twenty years of age or older that is owned by a member of the public or any licensed vehicle dealer. Any member of the public or a licensed vehicle dealer may purchase that vehicle. Any sale held pursuant to this section may not be held on the same day as any sale held pursuant to § 32-6B-34 or 32-6B-36. A violation of this section is a Class 2 misdemeanor. 13
