Changes to Existing Law

Tuition Rates--Fees--Limits. The board shall fix all rates of tuition and other fees to be paid by students. In any school year, the board may only raise rates of tuition, room and board, and other fees from the previous school year the lesser of: (1) Three percent; or (2) The annual percentage change in the consumer price index for urban wage earners and clerical workers as computed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the United States Department of Labor for the year of adjustment immediately preceding the school year. 12
