South Dakota will spend $811,967 to reimburse health care professionals—specifically three family physicians, two nurse practitioners, and other eligible practitioners—who have completed requirements under two state health care recruitment assistance programs. The Department of Health will determine which professionals qualify and process the reimbursements. This is declared an emergency measure so the payments can begin immediately after the governor signs the bill.
This bill does not directly amend codified state law.
