Section 13-53-29.1 — AMENDED
. 13-53-29.1. Resident tuition--Veterans--Armed forces personnel--Spouse or child. Any person who is a veteran as defined by §§ 33A-2-1 and 33A-2-2 shall be The following are classified as a resident student students without meeting having to meet the twelve-month residency requirement within South Dakota pursuant to § 13-53-24. If theveteran has established a South Dakota residence, the provisions of this section also applyto the spouse or child of the veteran: (1) Any person who is a veteran as defined in § 33A-2-1 or 33A-2-2; (2) Any person who is an active duty member of the armed forces and: (a) Is stationed in this state; or (b) Was stationed in this state at the time of registration; (3) The spouse or child of a veteran who has established residency in this state; and (4) The spouse or child of an active duty member of the armed forces who: (a) Is stationed in this state; or (b) Was stationed in this state at the time the spouse or child was accepted for admission to an institution of higher education.
