Changes to Existing Law

There is hereby created the conservation district special revenue fund to be used for the purpose of aiding, assisting, and cooperating with conservation districts of the state in securing by purchase, or otherwise, necessary equipment, trees, and other planting materials, and supplies as needed in furthering the program of conservation in these districts. Interest earned on money in the fund must be deposited in the fund. ThisThe fund shall be is administered by the State Conservation Commission and monies in the fund are expended upon vouchers approved by the commission, or its designated representative. This loanThe monies in the fund shall be made are available to conservation districts of the state on a reimbursable basis by the districts. The commission shall promulgate rules, pursuant to chapter 1-26, establishing criteria and procedures for making loans to the conservation districts. 16
